Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers.

This is for the mothers who have sat up all night with a sick baby in their arms. This is for the mothers who have sat in rocking chairs for hours soothing crying babies who couldn’t be consoled.

This is for all the mothers who unselfishly prepare meal after meal for each and every member of their family before their own.

This is for all the mothers who replace their Louis Vuitton and Tory Burch handbags with Skip Hop and Carter’s.

This is for all the mothers who run carpools and make brownies and attend PTA meetings.

This is for all the mothers who travel weekly to watch their kid’s softball games, piano recitals, and karate matches.

This is for the mother who sneaks in the fifty dollar bill so her adult son or daughter can buy something nice for themselves.

This is for all the mothers who snap at their children when they misbehave in public.

This is for all the mothers who caught their daughters or sons playing dress up in their clothes or makeup.

This is for all the mothers who taught their children their multiplication tables, and how to cheat on your 9’s with your fingers.

This is for all the mothers who taught their kids to cook, clean, and do the laundry.

This is for the mothers who taught their kids to change a tire.

This is for all the mothers who travel hundreds of miles to be with their kids and grand kids if only for a few hours.

This is for all the mothers who have caught their kids sneaking out of the house.

This is for all the mothers who have taken their child to the hospital to have stitches, an MRI or chemotherapy.

This is for all the mothers who have awaken at 2:00 am out of bed in a panic and begin straight into prayer for their children.

For all the mothers who call everyday just to hear your voice.

For all the mothers who know where their children are and those who don’t.

I love you mom! You are the best women I’ve ever known.

Have a blessed day!

I wish all the mothers a very happy Mother’s Day and I pray your mothers are well and good.
