When my husband first told me he purchased a $36.99 water bottle, I thought he was smoking something. Who pays that much for a frickin water bottle? Did it come with aged whiskey in the flask? Did it magically replenish itself with water from a secret spring? Just what was so special about this Hydro Flask ? Well, I soon learned what was so special about this so-called water bottle. It’s the best water bottle on the planet. I can’t imagine not having this water bottle in my life. It’s the bomb diggity. So you know i just had to share with everyone how amazing this thing is.

If you like ice cold water or hot coffee on the go, this is the item for you.
As a breastfeeding and active mama, I constantly have a glass of water or bottled water next to me. I’m not a fan of luke warm water, so it’s mandatory to replenish any typical glass of ice water between feedings. I don’t always have the time to grab a fresh glass or cold bottle, so this flask has been a lifesaver. It’s perfect to take on the go for long car rides or to the amusement parks for a day. It is on the larger side, so I must tell you I don’t carry it around in my purse or bag. I tend to set it in my stroller or in a cup holder somehow. Although I will add that it’s too wide to fit inside the cup holder on my stroller. I usually tuck it underneath the carriage.
Shortly after we moved to our new house, my husband was doing some work outside and had his hydro flask sitting in the driveway for several hours. He had forgotten about it until he was cleaning up his tools and packing up to come inside. When he picked it up, the bottle was extremely hot to touch, almost too hot to handle, but the contents inside remained ice cold.
In fact, the night before a race or long run I have made it a habit to fill my hydro flask with ice water and leave it in the car or on the counter. Even 15 hours later my beverage is still ice cold AND it still has ice.
I haven’t really needed the flask for hot beverages yet. I imagine it would come in handy if I lived in a cold climate. I really don’t have much use to keep hot beverages hot for an extended period of time. But if it works as efficiently for hot beverages as it does for cold, you’re not going to be disappointed.
The only thing about the 40oz hydro flask that i’m not wild about is the wide mouth lid. I would prefer the option of a more narrow lid for this flask. To remedy this, we purchased the spout accessory with straw lid to make these flasks more functional for use on the go.
Even with the added price, it was still well worth it in our eyes. We take them everywhere with us. And they’ve easily paid for themselves times two by not needing to purchase bottled waters anymore . And it just makes me happy to think about how we are reducing our carbon footprint. Something worth considering as an additional purchase would be a water filter, as we’re using so much water from the tap. See here for Some tips on incorporating water filtration in your home.
An awesome feature of the Hydro Flask is the double wall vacuum insulation. It prevents condensation with your cold drinks, So I can leave it on my bedside table all night long without a coaster. No worrying about leaving rings on the table.
The lifetime warranty guarantees against manufacturer’s defects for 100 years – WHAT?
And the hydro flask comes in a selection of gorgeous colors to fit everyone’s personality.
And even it you drop it (which we have) it’s still going to stay strong. It’s food grade steel and that’s pretty heavy duty.
Hands down, it’s the best hydration tool I’ve ever purchased.
Have you heard of Hydro Flasks?
Do you use a water bottle on the go?
What kind of water bottle do you use?
I’ve never heard of those! I have a few water bottles I use on the go, nothing special. Basically free ones I’ve collected through out the years. LOL I may have to invest in this because my water never stays cold.
Wow…that’s a lot of money for something I know I would lose!!! 🙂 Thanks for sharing though via #TBB #LinkLove
Keeps cold for 24 hours, thats an awesome feature!
I’m constantly downing water and a straw is a must for me to get the most I can. Luckily I’m not on the go enough to really warrant such an expensive bottle, but if I ever find myself in need of one I’ll keep this one in mind!
I can’t believe how long it will keep your drinks hot or cold! That’s pretty amazing. Thanks for sharing!
I like that it can be used to keep hot or cold. Good review!
I’ve never heard of the Hydro Flask but I definitely need to invest in a quality water bottle. Maybe if I made an investment like that I’d have more incentive to drink more water! Thanks for the review.
I LOVE my hydroflask!!
Thanks for the review. How is the weight ? With it being so performant, I would expect it to be heavy ?
It is a little heavier than most bottles but I don’t mind. Especially when I sip that ice cold beverage ok a scalding hot summer day.
I’ve never heard of hydroflask but keeping a beverage cold for 24 hours is a really awesome feature. I might need to purchase one just because of that! Thanks for sharing!
I haven’t heard of Hydro Flasks, but I like that they keep drinks cold for 24 hours! They sound like a wise investment.

I totally agree. It’s definitely not a travel size either, but thankfully there are smaller options available.
