Weekly Workouts 9/9 – 9/15

Monday started off with a little bit of a treadmill teaser.  I hit the gym for an easy couple of miles.  I was testing out my foot after just two and a half weeks of rest after suffering my sprain.  I gave it a shot and it worked out to be a valuable session, I could run pain free again.  So after learning that I could once again run on my foot, I began logging some more miles to catch up with my marathon – and Ragnar training.     I was able to log a few miles outside on Thursday, but it wasn’t far and it wasn’t fast.  It was late in the day and I had to take the baby with me in the jogging stroller.  I had planned to get moving early, but my child was distracted by her boyfriend/playmate across the street.  {We cannot possibly exit the house without going over to say hello to him}  The weather wasn’t looking so promising, so I just made several laps around the block in anticipation of the approaching storm.  We wrapped it up just as the thunder began to roll in.  Friday I took in the yoga class at my gym.  It was a packed class and the instructor talked a lot more than I prefer, but the workout was a fantastic addition to my week.  I got in lots of quality stretching, and I managed to accomplish a full bridge pose – for the first official time.  

Yay me!!

Here’s the additional workouts I logged this week.  

 

Monday 9/9 – 10 Miles   7 miles on the stationary bike and 3 miles on the treadmill  

Tuesday 9/10 – Back and Shoulders  

Wednesday 9/11 –  5 Miles on the treadmill  

Thursday 9/12 – 2 Miles around the block with the baby  Biceps & Triceps

Friday 9/13 – Yoga

Saturday 9/14 – 6 Miles at the beach.
